Volunteer opportunities

Whether you are working or retired, entering the job force for the first time or between careers, 16 or 116 years old, there is a place for your skills at Tubman Family Alliance.

Volunteering at Tubman is an excellent résumé builder, a great source for job references, provides a high level of satisfaction, provides leadership opportunities, and, most importantly, volunteering allows you to make a difference in our community.

Special Events

Tubman also has annual special events at which you can volunteer throughout the year. One-time and long-term opportunities are available for each event.

We need volunteers that can work the day of the event and volunteers to serve on planning committees for each event.

Internships

Communications/Marketing Intern

Spring term 2005 (with possibility to continue into Summer)

Tubman Family Alliance, a national leader in family violence prevention and intervention services, seeks a Communications/Development Department intern to assist with special events, marketing campaigns, e-communications, and media relations. A commitment of 10-20 hours per week preferred. Will facilitate college credit for this unpaid internship. Development and Fundraising Team Event Intern

Tubman Family Alliance is seeking two interns to enhance and support the development and fundraising team with events.  The intern will work with donors, take care of donor paperwork and money transfers, plan and organize fundraising events, communicate fundraising goals and recruit new donors.  A commitment of 10-20 hours per week preferred. Will facilitate college credit for this unpaid internship. Tubman also offers a variety of internship opportunities throughout the year. Unpaid positions are available in a variety of direct service and administrative roles. Contact the volunteer coordinator at 612-767-6680 to inquire about internship possibilities.
